Must Be Nice is an online home services marketplace connecting customers with independent, vetted service professionals. The platform facilitates quote requests, negotiations, payments and appointment scheduling for services including pressure washing, junk removal, HVAC, landscaping and more.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account. Must Be Nice reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Submitting a service request is a request for a quote — not a confirmed booking. A booking is only confirmed once you accept a quote, complete payment and receive confirmation. Quotes are valid for 48 hours. Must Be Nice reserves the right to adjust quotes if the scope of work changes upon arrival.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. A 2% processing fee applies to all transactions. By submitting payment you authorize Must Be Nice to charge the total shown at checkout. All prices are in USD.
Full Refund: Cancellations submitted more than 24 hours before the appointment receive a full automatic refund processed within 5–10 business days.
No Refund: Cancellations submitted within 24 hours of the appointment are not eligible for a refund. This policy protects service providers who have reserved time and resources for your job.
Dispute: If you believe a service was not completed as agreed, contact us within 48 hours at 508-962-0231 or [email protected]. We will work with you and the provider to reach a fair resolution.
Service providers on Must Be Nice are independent contractors, not employees of Must Be Nice. Must Be Nice is not responsible for service quality, safety or outcomes. However all contractors are vetted, must maintain valid insurance and comply with our code of conduct.
Must Be Nice and its providers may photograph completed work for portfolio and marketing purposes. Notify your provider in writing before work begins if you do not consent to photography.
You agree not to use Must Be Nice for unlawful purposes, to harass service providers, submit false information, or circumvent the platform to conduct transactions outside of Must Be Nice. Violations may result in immediate account termination.
Must Be Nice shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of this platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the service in question.
Must Be Nice reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Applies to all approved service providers on the platform
You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent or partner of Must Be Nice. You are solely responsible for your taxes, insurance, licensing, tools and business operations.
Joining requires a completed application including government-issued ID, proof of insurance and a connected Stripe account. Must Be Nice reserves the right to approve or deny any application at its sole discretion.
You must carry and maintain valid general liability insurance at all times while operating on this platform. Minimum coverage of $500,000 per occurrence is strongly recommended. Proof must be provided during application and updated when your policy changes or renews. Lapsed insurance may result in account suspension.
A platform fee of 6% is deducted from each transaction. The remaining 94% is transferred directly to your connected Stripe account. You are responsible for all applicable taxes on your earnings.
You set your own prices. Once a customer accepts your quote and pays the job is confirmed. You must honor the quoted price unless the scope of work materially changes upon arrival, in which case you must communicate adjustments before proceeding.
Customers who cancel more than 24 hours before their appointment receive a full automatic refund. If you as the contractor need to cancel you must notify the customer and Must Be Nice promptly. Repeated contractor cancellations may result in account suspension.

Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal.
Must Be Nice may use photos from your gallery for marketing purposes. You retain ownership. You grant Must Be Nice a non-exclusive license to use submitted images.
Must Be Nice reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account for violations of these terms, customer complaints, fraudulent activity or lapsed insurance. You will be notified by email.
You are solely responsible for property damage, personal injury or disputes arising from your work. You agree to indemnify and hold Must Be Nice harmless from any claims resulting from your work or conduct.
